About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Mentor to join our team at EdEx Education Recruitment. As a STEM Academic Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic development of students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) subjects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise group activities and develop programs of learning activities to engage students in STEM subjects.
  • Adapt and modify materials for lessons to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Lead small group interventions to ensure all students receive the support they need to succeed in their education.
  • Support students in Key Stage 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to work with students in Key Stage 5 for candidates with strong subject knowledge.
Requirements
  • Strong academic background, preferably with a 1:1 or 2:1 degree from a reputable university.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members.
  • Fun-loving and personable approach to education, with a passion for inspiring and motivating students.
  • Drive to continue training and development, with a commitment to ongoing professional growth and improvement.
