We are seeking a proactive and self-motivated EHS consultant to join our client, a leading chemical industry trade association. As an EHS consultant, you will play a key role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental management of our member companies.
This is a remote position that involves occasional visits to member company sites across the Northwest of England. You will work independently in a flexible environment, with the opportunity to make an impactful contribution to the chemical industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Environmental Policies: Create and enforce policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental laws and standards.
- Drive Environmental Initiatives: Promote resource efficiency, sustainability, and chemical stewardship through various initiatives.
- Communicate Effectively: Maintain consistent communication with members to ensure their needs are met and provide effective internal reporting on account management activities.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, uphold company policies, and support the smooth operation of responsible care/ehs networks.
- Investigate Member Complaints: Investigate member complaints and ensure timely communication of findings to stakeholders.
- Proven Track Record: Proven track record in Environmental Health and Safety, ideally within the chemical, homecare, or FMCG sector.
- Strong Knowledge: Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental laws and standards.
- Networking Skills: Ability to network and engage with a diverse company/customer base.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work from home fully with occasional structured visits to client sites.
