Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated Junior Power Platform Developer to join our team on a contract basis. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who has foundational experience with Microsoft Power Platform and is eager to develop their skills further.

As a Junior Power Platform Developer, you will assist in building, deploying, and maintaining solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop business applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps).
  • Create automated workflows with Power Automate.
  • Design and develop data reports and dashboards in Power BI.
  • Integrate Power Platform with other systems such as SharePoint, Dynamics 365, and Teams.
  • Manage and use Dataverse for data storage and entity management.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Provide support in troubleshooting issues and delivering enhancements to existing solutions.
  • Adhere to coding best practices and ensure compliance with governance and security guidelines.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups and sprint reviews to track project progress.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Basic experience in Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Some knowledge of Power BI and experience in creating reports or dashboards.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
  • Understanding of low-code/no-code development principles.
  • Willingness to learn Dataverse for data management and integration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues and willingness to seek guidance from senior developers.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Enthusiasm for technology and a desire to grow within the Power Platform space.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Any certifications in Microsoft Power Platform (e.g., PL-900 or PL-100) are a plus.
  • Exposure to Power Query and DAX in Power BI.
  • Familiarity with basic programming concepts (e.g., JavaScript, C#, or SQL).
  • Understanding of Agile project management methodologies.
Contract Details:
  • Rate: £200 - £250 per day (Inside IR35)
  • Location: Hybrid (London or Birmingham)
  • Duration: 6 months, with potential for extension
  • Working hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
