About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Bid Development Lead to join our Business Development team at Home Group Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire bid and tender submission process, ensuring full compliance with commissioner requirements and leading a team of talented bid writers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead the bid and tender submission process, ensuring all submissions meet commissioner requirements and reflect our competitive strengths.
  • Support horizon scanning relating to new business opportunities, using tendering portals, reviewing, recommending, and maximising growth opportunities.
  • Ensure governance standards are met through our gateway approval processes.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders, including finance, legal, and HRD, to ensure the success of the governance process in bid submission.
  • Lead and coach our team of bid writers to be experts in their field and Home Group's products.
  • Contribute to our annual growth targets through strategic thinking and driving continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in bid and tender management, preferably within the care and supported housing sector.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and coaching skills.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills, with the ability to negotiate and persuade.
  • Ability to coach others in delivering technical expertise in written responses.
  • Experience using a CRM system, knowledge management, and continuous improvement practices.
