Position Overview

We are pleased to announce a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Neuro Rehabilitation Specialist to become a vital member of our Neuro Therapy Team.

The Community Neuro and Stroke Service Planned Neuro Rehabilitation Team is dedicated to providing comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and rehabilitation services for adults facing complex, long-term neurological challenges. This includes individuals diagnosed with conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neuron Disease, Parkinson's Disease, Stroke, Functional Neurological Disorder, and other neurological disorders.

The primary objective of this position is to deliver specialized, person-centered assessments, rehabilitation, and management for individuals with chronic neurological conditions, while also promoting health and preventing secondary complications.

This is a permanent, full-time position aimed at delivering expert neurological physiotherapy services within the community. The role necessitates community-based work, thus a valid UK driving license and registration with the UK Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) are essential.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Neuro Rehabilitation Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough and specialized assessments to develop tailored management and treatment plans, employing evidence-based clinical reasoning and a diverse array of treatment techniques.
  • Designing and implementing specific exercise regimens and assessing as well as prescribing 24-hour postural management strategies.
  • Actively participating in the in-service training program for neuro rehabilitation, engaging in potential research initiatives, and collaborating with team members on poster presentations for national conferences.
  • Supporting the Community Allied Health Professional (AHP) Service Lead and senior team members in the daily operations of the service, including monitoring caseloads and managing referral priorities.
