Lead Data Platform Architect

At Insight Investment, we're seeking a seasoned Data Platform Architect to spearhead the design and implementation of our strategic data platform. As a key member of our Data Platform team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our data strategy, leveraging our data assets to drive business growth, and elevating decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement a robust and scalable data platform using Azure Databricks and complementary tooling.
  • Contribute to and evolve the Insight Data Strategy, communicating outcomes at an executive level.
  • Establish firm-wide standards and conventions for data ingestion, governance, transformation, persistence, and democratization.
  • Enable the adoption of advanced analytics and AI by configuring best-in-class tooling.
  • Align technical designs with internal data, privacy, security, and compliance policies.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies related to Databricks and big data processing, recommending relevant advancements for consideration.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in and with Agile teams performing iterative development.
  • Strong software engineering principles and a commitment to quality and best practices.
  • Ability to own mistakes, learn from them, and drive improvements.
