Warehouse Management Specialist

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated warehouse manager to join our dynamic team. This is a hands-on role, where you will play a crucial part in the development and operation of our busy warehouse centre. You will supervise and lead a team of staff, including machine operators, drivers and warehouse personnel, to ensure maximum productivity, efficient workflow, and adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Management: Serve as a key holder and be responsible for opening the office each day.
- Material Processing: Plan, pick, coordinate, and monitor material processing.
- Team Leadership: Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to achieve productivity targets.
- Driver Management: Coach & motivate ensuring our fleet of drivers will adhere to company policy procedures, Health and Safety guidelines and security processes.
- Inventory Control: Conduct regular stock control checks and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Resource Optimization: Optimize the utilization of resources, space, and mechanical handling equipment.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality control.
- Health and Safety: Ensure health, safety, and security protocols are consistently followed within the work environment.
- Facility Security: Perform key holder responsibilities, including securing the facility.
- Housekeeping: Uphold strong housekeeping standards.
Requirements:
Candidates will need to show evidence of the following:
- Leadership Skills: Proven people management skills - The ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a team.
- Operational Skills: Forklift Proficiency - Proficiency in operating both counterbalance and reach forklift trucks.
- Initiative and Decisiveness: Leadership Skills - Strong initiative and decisiveness.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent at problem-solving – Meet tight deadlines with the ability to multitask.
- Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure – Able work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Driving License: A clean, full driving license is desirable.
- Work Authorisation: Work authorisation: - United Kingdom
