Overview:
This position is designed to provide strategic leadership and guidance at a sub-functional level, ensuring the effective administration of the Function. The role supports the Head of ESH in daily operational activities, enabling AWE to fulfill its program objectives while adhering to legal and safety standards.

Location:
Basingstoke/Reading. This role offers hybrid working arrangements.

Compensation:
Starting salary from £58,220, commensurate with skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote best practices in Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality across the organization.
  • Lead the sub-function with an emphasis on efficient management systems and services.
  • Assist the Head of ESH in the daily operations of the Sub-Function to meet program requirements.
  • Manage function 'supply & demand' and serve as the primary liaison with Business Operations.
  • Provide guidance on budget management in collaboration with the business operations team.
  • Oversee the development and promotion of the function's service offerings.
  • Coordinate the internal program and improvement plans for the sub-function.
  • Establish and maintain effective business mechanisms for the sub-function's operations.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives and monitor function risks and opportunities.
  • Uphold high standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate with various stakeholders to manage functional and organizational structure and resource costs.
  • Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders, influencing and negotiating at all levels.
  • Fulfill any other reasonable duties aligned with the position as required by business needs.
