We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Athena Healthcare Group. As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in leading our team of Healthcare Assistants, ensuring that all residents receive person-centred care while maintaining their dignity and privacy.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that each resident's right to independence and choice is respected and met
  • Maintaining accurate care and medical records
  • Creating a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration
  • Supporting your care team and holding regular supervisions and appraisals
  • Liaising with healthcare professionals and relatives to achieve the best possible care for each resident
  • Maintaining a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors in accordance with all safety requirements

Your Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire the team
  • Good time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • The ability to use initiative and make decisions in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications and Experience

For this role, it is essential that you have:

  • Relevant medication administration experience
  • Relevant care home experience with a strong understanding of person-centred care

As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will receive a higher rate of pay if you hold a relevant NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
