Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Healthcare Assistants, ensuring that all members of the team provide person-centred care to residents while respecting their dignity and privacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that each individual's right to independence and choice are met
  • Keep accurate care and medical records
  • Instill a positive work environment
  • Support the care team and hold supervisions/appraisals
  • Liaise with health professionals and relatives to achieve the best care for each resident
  • Maintain a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors according to all safety requirements

About You

The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong communication skills, good leadership skills, and the ability to use initiative. They will also have good time management and organisation skills.

Qualifications

For this role, it is essential that you have relevant medication administrative experience and relevant care home experience. As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will receive a higher rate of pay if you hold a relevant NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
