We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Neurologist to join our team at Northampton General Hospital. As a key member of our neurological department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our neurological services.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Expertise
- Diagnose and manage complex neurological conditions
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
- Leadership and Management
- Lead clinical teams and provide guidance and support to junior staff
- Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures
- Contribute to the development of our neurological services
- Education and Training
- Develop and deliver educational programs for junior staff
- Contribute to the development of our medical education programs
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Qualifications
- Full registration with the General Medical Council
- Relevant specialty degree qualification
- Completion of Specialty Training (CST or equivalent) or within 6 months of achieving it in relevant specialty
- Experience
- Proven experience in clinical leadership and management
- Experience in teaching and education
- Experience in quality improvement initiatives
- Skills
- Excellent clinical and communication skills
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
