Job Overview

Cleaning Operative at Sodexo

Approved Premises (APs) play a crucial role in managing the risks associated with individuals reintegrating into society after incarceration. This position offers valuable experience in working with diverse and vulnerable populations, as well as insight into the residential environment within the Criminal Justice System. By joining Sodexo, you will become part of a dedicated team where you can contribute meaningfully and support the rehabilitation of individuals on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend to detailed cleaning tasks as per a scheduled list
  • Conduct periodic deep cleaning in designated areas as directed by a supervisor
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all spaces, including kitchens, restrooms, and communal areas
  • Restock supplies and consumables such as toilet paper and hand soaps
  • Collaborate closely with the security team, reporting any issues or hazards while also assisting in maintaining cleanliness in their areas
  • Approachability and a positive demeanor are essential for this role

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar cleaning role is advantageous, with familiarity in cleaning products and their applications being a plus, though not mandatory—comprehensive training will be provided to ensure adherence to health and safety standards
  • Strong customer service and communication abilities
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to follow instructions
