Our client, a Local Authority in the West Midlands, is seeking a Housing Lawyer to join their team on a locum basis for an initial 3-month period, with potential extension.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Local Government and a strong background in Housing Law.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a mixed caseload of Housing Litigation, including homelessness possessions, ASB, and general housing management.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of Housing Litigation matters
  • Supporting the City Solicitor and Legal team with regard to the conduct of legal casework
  • Attending Court hearings in the West Midlands on a weekly basis
  • Dealing with Judicial Review cases issued by individuals in relation to homelessness appeals

Benefits and working hours:

  • Hybrid working arrangement
  • Weekly attendance required at Court
  • 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Please note that recent experience is required for this role.
