Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Department of Physical Chemistry as a University Assistant Professor.

The successful candidate will have a PhD degree in a relevant subject and significant post-doctoral experience. They will be expected to develop and lead their own research programmes, demonstrating a significant degree of independence.

The Department has significant strengths in several areas of physical chemistry, including biophysics, surfaces, materials, and atmospheric and environmental chemistry. We are seeking to make an appointment which will either introduce new areas of physical chemistry or have significant synergies with existing expertise.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to and develop courses within the general area of physical chemistry, covering both specialised and core material. They will also be expected to demonstrate a firm commitment to teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
