Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to join our team at Encore Global. As a Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for the technical delivery of events, working independently or leading a team of technicians to ensure seamless event execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring successful completion to a high standard.
  • Lead specific projects from initial brief to final delivery, utilizing your technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
  • Work independently or as part of a team, collaborating with production and sales teams to determine technical requirements and communicate event execution plans.
  • Produce documentation and guidelines detailing best practices, project plans, and technical drawings.
  • Manage client liaison and communications, ensuring effective communication and project success.
  • Determine and secure resources required to complete projects, monitoring project scope and adjusting as necessary.
  • Assist sales and operations teams in determining equipment needs and technical solutions.
  • Communicate project plans and manage client expectations, ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Manage project changes, including schedule, equipment, or workforce modifications.
  • Mentor and communicate with team members on event execution and best practices, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Help establish technical best practices and production standards, contributing to the growth and improvement of the team.
  • Conduct post-event debriefs with clients and internally, assessing project delivery and identifying areas for improvement.
Financial Management
  • Manage resources to align with approved budgets, ensuring all changes are communicated to sales for billing purposes.
  • Actively seek 'upsell' opportunities and charge appropriately for additional work outside of the agreed scope.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, including data security, GDPR, confidentiality, and health and safety policies.
Administrative & Training
  • Conduct internal and client debriefs to understand what worked well and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop capabilities and expertise through internal resources and external sources, such as courses and online forums.
  • Participate in regular production meetings and reviews to develop and improve delivery processes and SOPs.
Requirements
  • 2-3+ years of sound technical experience in the AV industry.
  • 2 years of in-house experience recommended, depending on direct experience and specialism.
  • Strong technical background, good written and oral communication skills, familiarity with budgets and cost control.
  • MS Office experience required, with PowerPoint and Excel knowledge/experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% may be required.
