Job Summary:

Veson Nautical, a leading software company in the maritime industry, is seeking an experienced Network and Server Operations Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network and server infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network architecture to support business growth and scalability
  • Manage and maintain server hardware, software, and operating systems to ensure high uptime and performance
  • Implement and enforce security measures to protect against cyber threats and data breaches
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address IT needs and implement system upgrades
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and data loss
  • Perform system and network administration tasks, including managing routers, firewalls, servers, and network devices
  • Handle application administration activities, such as creating, modifying, and deleting users, and managing security access for messaging systems, databases, and web applications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Systems, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in IT support, with a focus on network and server administration
  • Knowledge of Windows, MacOS, network, and mobile operating systems, device hardware, and common business systems such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
  • Familiarity with device management and deployment systems, such as Quest KACE, JAMF, Intune, and SmartDeploy
  • Basic understanding of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks
  • Industry standard certificates, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+, are preferred
