About the Role:

Veson Nautical is a leading software company providing end-to-end logistical, operational, and analytical solutions to the maritime industry. We are seeking an experienced Network and Server Operations Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve the functionality, security, and efficiency of our network and server environments.
  • Assist in planning and executing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of server hardware, software, LAN and WAN networks, and operating systems.
  • Perform system and network administration tasks, including managing routers, firewalls, servers, computers, hardware/software, data recovery, and backups.
  • Handle application administration activities such as creating, modifying, and deleting users, optimizing remote access, and managing security access for messaging systems, databases, and web applications.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address systems/network needs and upgrade systems as necessary.
  • Assist in developing, testing, evaluating, and installing system enhancements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in IT support.
  • Knowledge of Windows, MacOS, network, and mobile operating systems, device hardware, and common business systems such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with device management and deployment systems such as Quest KACE, JAMF, Intune, SmartDeploy, etc.
  • Basic understanding of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is a plus.
  • Industry standard certificates such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ are preferred.
  • Solid understanding of network routing protocols and advanced analytical problem-solving skills.
