We are excited to have partnered with a new asset management firm based in the City of London, who are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join their team as an Assistant Management Accountant.
About the Role
We are looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about finance and has a strong background in accounting. As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a key role in assisting with the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts. You will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data, and for providing support to the Financial Controller with the production of fund accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of month-end management accounts, including P&L and Balance Sheet reporting.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Assist with the annual audit for all entities and serve as a contact point for the auditors.
- Carry out quarterly VAT returns.
- Be responsible for cash flow management.
- Assist with the preparation of management reports for senior management.
- Help improve the financial framework for the business, developing internal controls and policies.
- Assist with various projects and ad-hoc work requested by senior management.
- Responsible for ensuring invoices are paid and posted correctly on the accounting system.
- Support the Financial Controller with all aspects of the production of fund accounts.
- Daily CASS client money reconciliation report and monthly CMAR returns.
Requirements
- Organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
- Used to working to tight deadlines and meeting expectations.
- Ideal candidate will be part-qualified or have actively completed accounting exams post-education exemptions.
- Have an ambition or real desire to pursue the CIMA or ACCA qualification.
