About the Role

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer will work within the Referral to Treatment Team and the Cancer Information and Systems Team, supporting the design, development, and delivery of Trust-wide solutions in data and reporting. Using agile methodologies, the post-holder will be required to support the development of Trust processes and reports as required to enhance existing systems and provide new functionality as directed.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work with the RTT and Cancer Information Leads to understand complex issues, involving analysis of complex problems or issues and supporting the development of solutions that deliver information in clear, understandable formats.
  • Lead specific project work streams and deliver projects to tight deadlines, working with colleagues within the wider team, senior managers, clinicians, and directors.
  • Use knowledge of data flows, data processing skills, reporting, and advanced analytics to maintain effective data processing and submission of complex information in accordance with service level agreements and other local, statutory, and national requirements.

Requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines
  • Enthusiasm and commitment, with determination and drive required to implement, manage, and deliver change
  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with SQL
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and business process automation
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Access and Excel
  • Data analytical, evaluation, and system development skills
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft reporting solutions, including SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a computing-related subject
  • Relevant Project Management Qualification
  • Relevant professional qualifications or equivalent in the Business Intelligence field
