Position:
Skilled Metal Fabricator

Overview:


Central Recruitment is in search of proficient and seasoned metal fabricators to join our team. The role involves contributing to the creation of a wide array of products, including substantial steel fabrications for prominent industry clients.


Key Duties:

  • Performing gas metal arc welding (MAG) to ensure the production of top-notch components and assemblies
  • Accurately cutting materials to designated specifications and thicknesses
  • Welding and assembling metal and other materials up to 100mm thick for various constructions
  • Following engineering blueprints, plans, and work instructions meticulously
  • Operating welding machinery and other relevant equipment proficiently
  • Dismantling metal structures as necessary
  • Upholding a tidy and secure working environment by maintaining tools, equipment, and workspace
  • Adhering strictly to safety protocols by utilizing appropriate protective gear
  • Demonstrating the ability to work effectively in both workshop settings and on construction sites

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in fabrication and MIG welding
  • TIG welding skills are advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in work
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant industry certifications (CSCS, CPCS, ICATS, IPAF, PASMA, PTS)

Working Hours:

  • Standard shift: 7:30am – 4:30pm (Monday to Thursday), 7:30am – 12:30pm (Friday)
  • Backshift: 5:00pm – 3:30am (Sunday to Thursday)

Job Types:
Permanent, Temp to perm

Compensation:
£15.18-£16.41 per hour
