Position Overview:


Sphere Solutions is looking for a skilled Mechanical Supervisor with extensive plumbing expertise to manage a short-term project. This role is designed for an individual who can lead a team effectively while ensuring high standards of work quality.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct the plumbing team to guarantee the project's successful execution.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and local regulations in all plumbing tasks.
  • Track project progress and provide updates to management regularly.
  • Perform inspections to uphold quality and safety standards.
  • Address and resolve any challenges that may arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain project timelines, ensuring all activities are completed punctually.
  • Collaborate with other trades and contractors for the effective integration of plumbing systems.
  • Enforce health and safety protocols, ensuring all team members utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Mechanical Supervisor or in a similar capacity, particularly in plumbing.
  • Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering, plumbing, or a related discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Possession of Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) certification is essential.

Requirements:

  • Valid CSCS card or equivalent certification.
  • Relevant trade qualifications.
  • Previous experience in supervising plumbing projects.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Job Types:
Fixed term contract, Freelance

Pay Range:
£300.00-£310.00 per day
