About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to manage our filmmaking and screen acting courses/parties events team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and managing all YFA filmmaking & acting courses, including YFA's Residential Summer Camp.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing and managing all YFA filmmaking & acting courses, including YFA's Residential Summer Camp
  • Managing the recruitment, fundraising, student liaison and production of Project Paradiso, YFA's prestige film shoot in Sicily
  • Overseeing the management of all YFA filmmaking parties
  • Managing a team of 50 freelance filmmaking & screen acting staff
  • Event management for Young Film Academy Awards held at BFI Southbank
  • Establishing and fostering new partnerships with film education organizations & film industry partners
  • Potential to co-host episodes of the Young Film Academy podcast
  • Travel to attend film festivals as required

Requirements:

  • Experience in events management or arts education
  • Administrative experience
  • Customer-facing experience
  • Proficiency on Mac computers
  • Proficiency using zoom, slack, google drive
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral English language skills
  • Excellent personal skills to forge partnerships with arts institutions and education organizations

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Interest in media/TV/film
  • Experience of working with young people aged 5-19
  • Experience in film production
  • Experience managing a team
