About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to manage our filmmaking and screen acting courses/parties events team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and managing all YFA filmmaking & acting courses, including YFA's Residential Summer Camp.
Key Responsibilities:
- Producing and managing all YFA filmmaking & acting courses, including YFA's Residential Summer Camp
- Managing the recruitment, fundraising, student liaison and production of Project Paradiso, YFA's prestige film shoot in Sicily
- Overseeing the management of all YFA filmmaking parties
- Managing a team of 50 freelance filmmaking & screen acting staff
- Event management for Young Film Academy Awards held at BFI Southbank
- Establishing and fostering new partnerships with film education organizations & film industry partners
- Potential to co-host episodes of the Young Film Academy podcast
- Travel to attend film festivals as required
Requirements:
- Experience in events management or arts education
- Administrative experience
- Customer-facing experience
- Proficiency on Mac computers
- Proficiency using zoom, slack, google drive
- Attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral English language skills
- Excellent personal skills to forge partnerships with arts institutions and education organizations
Desirable Qualifications:
- Interest in media/TV/film
- Experience of working with young people aged 5-19
- Experience in film production
- Experience managing a team
