Operations Instructor (Officer of the Watch)

First Military Recruitment Ltd is proud to partner with a leading International Defence business to recruit an Operations Instructor (Officer of the Watch) on a permanent basis due to growth at their Faslane depot in Scotland.

About the Role

As an Astute Class Ship Control Training (SCT) Operations Instructor, you will deliver Ship Control training and provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) input into the analysis and solution development for technical change to the existing product. You will also provide SME advice in support to Marine Training's projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver training to students with a wide range of experience, predominantly within SCT discipline, and provide assistance with generic training, such as Astute Class Familiarisation.
  2. Provide training to students with a wide range of experience, external to the ACTS contract, and deliver training to prescribed standards, quality, and cost.
  3. Liaise with the Training Design (TD) team and provide SME support for the routine review and amendment of SCT, OPS, or SMQ courseware.
  4. Provide Subject Matter Expert support to the review and evaluation of technical data/notifications of change, identifying the impact of change on existing courseware.
Requirements
  1. Comprehensive knowledge and recent experience of operating Submarine Ship Control systems.
  2. Previous experience of training delivery is desirable.
