Job Opportunity: Marks Sattin Executive Search is seeking a seasoned CFO to join a successful PE-Backed B2B Infrastructure Consultancy business based in Central London.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will be a strategic and commercial CFO who can drive the business through a period of growth and transformation, with the ultimate aim of a successful exit in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in partnership with the CEO and senior management team to commercialize the finance function, via the overhaul and improvement of systems, driving efficiencies and financial processes to achieve optimized profit, margin improvement, and work in progress.
- Oversee the commercial operations of the business, providing valuable contributions to executive-level strategy by delivering detailed and insightful performance analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
- Cultivate and expand strong external relationships with banks, debtors, creditors, and other stakeholders through hands-on engagement.
Requirements:
- A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA), preferably Chartered, with a demonstrated track record operating at board level and serving as a CFO, particularly in a transformation environment, ideally delivering successful growth and a sale process.
- Background in a PE-Backed businesses within the B2B, Tech solutions, Manufacturing, Industrial Services, Building Services, Construction, Facilities Management, and/or related sectors is highly desirable.
- Track record of commercializing the finance function by overhauling systems, driving efficiencies, optimizing profits, improving margins, and managing work in progress.
- Proven experience in overseeing day-to-day operational finance, and a genuine enthusiasm for contributing to both commercial and financial growth.
- Proficiency in managing relationships with bank debtors and creditors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Capable of collaborating with the executive team to steer the strategic trajectory of the business.
