About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our well-established Weymouth and Portland Community Mental Health Team as an Assessment and Duty worker.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment, providing specialist care and interventions to individuals with severe mental illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, person-centered care delivery, considering individuals' safety, privacy, and dignity.
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide specialist interventions as part of the multi-disciplinary care team.
  • Offer specialist advice to colleagues regarding patient management and care.
  • Develop and implement health improvement programs in various settings.
  • Provide supervision, mentorship, and clinical support to students and trained practitioners.
Requirements
  • Registered practitioner (MH nurse, OT, or social worker) with degree/diploma level training and post-registration diploma level specialist training.
  • Membership of the relevant Professional Body.
  • Evidence of recent professional development in an up-to-date portfolio.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of Trust Strategy relevant to the role.
  • Recent previous experience within a comparable role.
  • Experience at Practitioner Band 5 level.
