Job Summary:
GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate PMLD Teacher to join one of its exceptional client schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and care to students with profound and multiple learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tailored lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students with PMLD.
- Collaborate with other professionals to create individual education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of each student.
- Utilize a range of teaching strategies and resources to engage and motivate students with complex needs.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and carers.
- Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes independence and social skills.
- Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure the effective delivery of the curriculum.
- Liaise with external agencies and professionals to support the holistic development of students.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with students with PMLD or similar complex needs.
- Strong understanding of SEN best practices and teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
