About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our team at Pratap Partnership Ltd. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a vital role in supporting our business growth plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employee Relations Support
    • Provide HR advice and guidance to line managers on employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with UK Employment Law.
    • Support the Senior Leadership Team with policy-related queries and provide guidance on HR best practices.
  • Recruitment and Talent Management
    • Take ownership of the recruitment process, including agreeing on vacancy specs, planning talent attraction, and advising on selection processes.
    • Ensure a robust offer and onboarding process for new employees, including creating employment contracts and ensuring due diligence and compliance.
  • Succession Planning and Talent Management
    • Develop and implement succession planning and talent management strategies to ensure the business has a strong pipeline of future leaders.
    • Identify and develop high-potential employees, providing coaching and development opportunities to support their growth.
  • HR Systems and Processes
    • Manage and maintain HR systems, including Time & Attendance, HR data reporting, and MS Office Packages.
    • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Occupational Health and Wellbeing
    • Coordinate occupational health activities, including appointment bookings, referrals, and report reviews.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and provide support to employees with health-related issues.
  • Union Relations and Negotiations
    • Work with the HR Manager to coordinate tasks and documentation associated with union relations, negotiations, and agreements.
    • Provide support and guidance to line managers on union-related matters.
Requirements
  • Experience at HR Advisor level or above, ideally in a fast-paced manufacturing, engineering, or similar sector.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and a desire to develop that knowledge on an ongoing basis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels within the business.
  • Excellent IT skills and ability to suggest improvements to systems.
  • Resilience, a high drive for success, and excellent attention to detail.
