Capital Markets Researcher (Associate) Commercial Division

We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Markets Researcher (Associate) to join our Commercial Division in London, Head Office (Hybrid). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing capital markets, economics, and occupier insight, commentary, thought leadership, and flash updates for internal and external capital markets stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct client engagement, presenting capital markets analysis and commentary internally and externally
  • Line managing one Capital Markets Analyst
  • Responding to time-sensitive internal and external bespoke requests
  • Prioritizing across multiple departments and stakeholders
  • Managing the content for the capital markets portal of the Knight Frank Intelligence Lab as well as oversight of the internal Capital Markets Sharepoint page
  • Spokesperson for UK Capital Markets research

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified, with an aptitude for quantitative techniques, an analytical approach to completing assignments, and strong attention to detail
  • An interest in drawing conclusions from the analysis of data and an ability to articulate these in an accessible way
  • A team player who is approachable, enthusiastic, innovative, and self-motivated, with a passion for excellence and strong commerciality
  • Creating compelling narratives through verbal, visual, written, and data means to communicate messages appropriately to different audiences
  • Management and coaching skills
  • Curious, innovative, and adaptable, with a passion for lifelong learning and an ability to work with both traditional and 'new' style individuals and firms
  • Skilled at drawing key themes from data to construct an argument in a clear and logical way, including considering the UK in a global context
  • Able to present and otherwise communicate information in an engaging manner to audiences ranging from individuals in the capital markets business to small client groups and larger gatherings
  • Ability to synthesize data and themes into succinct and relevant messages
  • Good time management and the ability to prioritize tasks and work to tight deadlines
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities as needed and concurrently manage a diverse range of projects

Skills Required:

  • Excellent English language oral and written skills
  • Can communicate clearly and listen effectively
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Familiarity with packages such as Macrobond, RCA, MSCI, Power BI, Alteryx, Data Science, or languages such as Python useful, but not essential
  • Familiarity with the lending market useful, but not essential
