Pertemps is looking to appoint a meticulous and dedicated Senior Finance Executive to support their expanding client base.

Our client is a leader in the construction sector, delivering projects across the nation. As their operations grow, they seek an individual capable of overseeing their financial functions.

Essential Experience and Qualifications:

1. AAT qualified (preferably Level 4)
2. Experience with CIS in the construction industry
3. Prior experience as a Finance Manager or Controller

Position Details:

Salary:
£40,000 - £50,000 annually

Full-time role, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (with a half-hour lunch break)
Includes Company Pension
20 days of annual leave plus 8 public holidays

Based in Plymouth

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Finance Executive:

Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and present management accounts.

Analyze financial data and generate reports accurately and promptly, keeping senior management informed of the company's financial health.

Oversee the budgeting process, including the development, monitoring, and adjustment of budgets and forecasts.

Cash Flow Management:
Manage cash flow planning and ensure the availability of funds as required.
Track the company's financial performance to identify areas for improvement.
Ensure timely payments to stakeholders and subcontractors.

Internal Controls and Compliance:
Establish and uphold internal controls to ensure adherence to financial regulations, including bookkeeping and VAT returns.
Lead the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors and management to implement necessary changes.

Strategic Planning:
Assist in shaping the company's future direction and support tactical initiatives.
Oversee the execution of strategic business plans.

Risk Management:
Monitor risk management policies to minimize organizational risks.
Advise management on suitable insurance coverage for the company and its subsidiaries.

Stakeholder Relations:
Collaborate with the Director and senior leadership to develop short-term and long-term financial strategies.
Represent the company to financial partners, including institutions and auditors.

Qualifications for the Senior Finance Executive:
A degree in Finance or Accounting; ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification is highly desirable.
Proven experience in a senior financial managerial role with a track record of success.
Extensive knowledge of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS).
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
A solid grasp of financial statistics and accounting principles.
Familiarity with all statutory legislation and regulations.
