Finance Leadership Opportunity

Trial Balance Consulting is seeking an experienced Finance Director to join our team and lead our financial strategy. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a full range of financial systems and processes, as well as recruiting and developing a small finance team.

This is a newly created role within the company where you will have complete autonomy in shaping our financial future. You will work closely with our CEO and management team, assuming lead responsibility for our ongoing financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the current financial health of the business and develop a future financial strategy
  2. Produce regular management information for the senior management team with full commentary
  3. Account for North American and European subsidiaries
  4. Report statutory accounts
  5. Collaborate with the CEO, senior management team, and external stakeholders on business strategy and financial support
  6. Develop and implement digital systems and processes in preparation for future growth
  7. Assume a lead role in costing and forecasting for all entities of the business and future projects
  8. Lead cashflow management and budget setting
  9. Develop strong relationships with external stakeholders, customers, and key suppliers
  10. Project and materials costing analysis and planning
  11. Oversee payroll for a growing headcount of colleagues
  12. Work with external accountants to prepare for the annual audit

Requirements:

We are looking for a professionally qualified individual (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience gained in a number 1 or 2 capacity in a business operating above audit threshold. Commercial and strategic experience gained in a multi-layer company trading across an international landscape and working in multiple currencies is essential. Exceptional leadership, supervisory, and team development skills are required, along with high-level technology skills and the ability to design, implement, and develop ultra-efficient accounting systems and processes.

The ideal candidate will have a natural talent to make things happen and enhance the business without needing constant guidance.
