About the Role
Michael Page Finance is seeking an experienced Accounts Technician to join their team in Plymouth. As a key addition to the firm, you will be responsible for preparing year-end accounts, tax compliance, VAT returns, and other services.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare year-end accounts for a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Ensure tax compliance across personal and corporate tax, VAT returns, and other services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored services.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve business objectives and support the growth of the firm.
Requirements
- AAT qualified or equivalent experience in accountancy practice.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, with a background in bookkeeping, VAT, and tax compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
