Sanitary Systems Technician
Compensation:
£33, % LWA = £38,804 + vehicle, pension, medical plan, 33 days holiday (includes bank holidays) + 10% ASDA Discount Card after probation period.
Employment Type: Permanent and Full Time - 40 hours per week.

Due to the growth of our operations, we are pleased to announce an opening for a new Sanitary Systems team at PDA Search & Selection.

We are a global organization with prominent contracts worldwide, providing top-notch facilities management and maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on all sanitary fixtures.
  • Conduct general plumbing tasks and ensure that all surface and foul water drainage systems are functional.
  • Work independently to meet established standards, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness while adhering to the company's Health and Safety policies.
  • Conduct Foul Drainage and Grease Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) by locating internal drains, checking water flow, and clearing any blockages.
  • Execute Surface Water PPM by clearing and jetting downpipes and gulleys in various areas.
  • When sanitary fixtures or plumbing/drainage systems are irreparable, provide recommendations for suitable replacement equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's Health and Safety Policy and maintain adherence to water, effluent, and environmental regulations.
  • Complete all mandatory online training modules to keep knowledge up to date.
  • Respond promptly to service requests from the Helpdesk, assess job requirements, and perform necessary repairs.

Qualifications:

To excel in this position, prior experience in Plumbing or Drainage is essential. While training will be provided, candidates must possess one of the following:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating systems/Drainage or an equivalent qualification.
  • A time-served apprenticeship with the appropriate City and Guilds qualification in Plumbing or Drainage.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications (training will be provided):

  • Experience working in confined spaces.
  • Water Jetting skills.
