Flow System Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Flow System Manager to join our team at Royal Mail Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the automated parcel sorting system performance via SCADA, CCTV, and warehouse management systems.
You will provide accurate reporting to resolver groups and the senior leadership team, making timely business-critical decisions based on data feeding into the flow room. Your goal will be to ensure all mail types are processed on time and to instruct and influence managers within the operation with their holistic view of the site.
You will design, maintain, and review sort plans through warehouse management systems, system and flow room SOPs, and SCADA data to identify faults and request preventative maintenance and repairs. You will work alongside and prioritize the engineering team's workload to rectify faults and blockages and ensure assets are available for planned preventative maintenance.
Additionally, you will manage vehicle flow through the yard management system to maximize efficiency.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will possess experience of working in a flow or control room environment in an automated processing facility with SCADA and warehouse management systems experience. You will have strong data analytic skills and experience of designing and maintaining system and flow or control room processes.
You will have strong Excel and Microsoft suite skills, and the ability to translate technical information to a wide audience. You will have a good understanding of continuous improvement principles and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced automated environment.
You will be adaptable and receptive to new ideas and processes, and willing to adjust to changing demands and circumstances. You will be skilled at identifying solutions to problems, and able to utilize the expertise, skills, and experience of others as appropriate.
Shift PatternThe successful candidate will work a 2-week alternating rotation, with varying shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
