Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Optical Assistant to join our team at Health Care Personnel. As an Optical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our optical department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, responding to their queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist patients in selecting the correct frames for their lenses, measuring frames to ensure a perfect fit, and ordering prescription glasses and contact lenses.
  • Carry out pre-screening tests, such as retinal imaging and pressure and visual field testing, as required.
  • Explain offers and products to customers, providing them with clear and concise information to make informed decisions.
  • Process payments from customers, handling cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve sales targets and provide a positive customer experience.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience working in an optician's practice.
  • Good understanding of English and Maths.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Relevant experience in a customer service or retail role would be an advantage.
