Position Overview:
As a pivotal member of our operations team, you will report directly to the Operations Supervisor. Your primary focus will be overseeing daily driving operations and managing the strategic planning and efficiency of our transport fleet. This role involves coordinating drivers and distributing tasks effectively, ensuring adherence to both internal policies and legal standards, while also providing support when needed and working closely with the Operations Supervisor in a dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by example and inspire your team
- Collaborate with Drivers & Dispatch to ensure optimal route planning and execution
- Foster a Safety-First Culture and engage in HSEQ continuous improvement initiatives
Candidate Profile:
- Possession of a valid NZ class 4 license is essential
- Exhibit high standards of quality and effective time management skills
- Demonstrate a commitment to safety and productivity, with the capability to motivate and engage team members
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate strong relationships
- Must successfully pass drug and alcohol pre-employment screening and maintain a clear Ministry of Justice record
