Specification & Packaging Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Specification & Packaging Technologist to join our team at Flying Trade Group. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical accuracy of our packaging and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical sign-off for packaging, including checking artwork against specifications.
  • Writing and maintaining specifications, including recipe information, ingredients declaration, and nutritional information.
  • Coordinating new product specifications and transferring data into factory and customer requirements.
  • Maintaining product quality, safety, composition, and labelling.
  • Assessing and trialing packaging samples within the factory environment.
  • Liaising with packaging providers to ensure product compliance.

Requirements:

  • A food-related degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience with online retailer specification systems.
  • Previous experience in conducting packaging trials and assessments.
  • Strong communication skills for dealing with suppliers and customers.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
