Hutcheon Mearns is excited to announce an opportunity for a Finance Transformation Specialist within a prominent group based in Glasgow. This organization is a globally recognized entity with a stellar reputation, having expanded significantly through acquisitions and currently embarking on a financial transformation journey to facilitate future expansion.
Role Overview
The Finance Transformation Specialist will report directly to the Finance Transformation Lead and will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless integration of the new financial system. The successful candidate will engage in dual run processing activities, process design, comprehensive process reviews, policy assessments, data rationalization, cleansing and conversion, system configuration, and testing activities. Additionally, the role involves the creation and delivery of training programs, including 'train the trainer' sessions, as well as the development and evaluation of reporting mechanisms throughout the implementation of new systems and processes that are efficient, effective, and scalable.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
The organization is eager to connect with candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- An accountancy qualification (preferred, though those qualified by experience will also be considered)
- A robust background in operational finance, including month-end closing, financial controls, and reporting
- Advanced data skills, particularly in Excel (VBA knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory)
- Experience in finance transformation initiatives or process enhancement
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and challenge senior stakeholders
- Proficiency in presenting to colleagues and influencing change effectively
Compensation and Benefits
The Finance Transformation Specialist position offers a competitive package, including:
- A salary of £45,000 per annum (commensurate with experience)
- Performance-related bonus
- Hybrid working model – one day per week in the office
