The Project & Extra Works Manager is a critical role within Pareto Facilities Management, responsible for the successful planning, management, and execution of large-scale projects and extra works across our estate.
This role ensures that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the quality standards expected by our clients, while also supporting day-to-day operations by alleviating site teams of additional project management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Planning and Management: Develop project timelines, budgets, and scopes of work, ensuring that all projects adhere to these parameters.
- Supplier Collaboration: Collaborate with suppliers to generate quotes, consolidate supply chains, and ensure competitive market rates for high-cost works.
- Project Leadership: Provide hands-on management and leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- Site Support: Work closely with site teams to ensure that day-to-day operations are not disrupted by project activities.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement processes to improve project response times and ownership, relieving pressure from site teams.
- Reporting and Transparency: Report regularly to senior management on project progress, challenges, and successes, providing transparency and accountability.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience managing large-scale projects, preferably in facilities management or construction.
- Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills, with proven experience in delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Leadership and Team Management: Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Supply Chain Management: Strong understanding of supply chain management and cost control.
- Organizational and Communication Skills: Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
