About the Role

Glebe Farm Foods Ltd. is a leading independent business in the food manufacturing industry, specializing in the production of high-quality, gluten-free oats. We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team on a part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Technical Team in the laboratory, ensuring the highest standards of quality and purity in our products.
  • Conduct analytical and chemical tests, as well as environmental and plant hygiene swabs, to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Rotate stock correctly, conduct stock takes, and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Perform housekeeping duties and dispose of waste safely and correctly.
  • Be competent in using lab databases and similar systems.
  • Demonstrate competency in testing via internal and external monitoring procedures and conduct internal audits to schedule.
  • Determine and act on non-complying results, communicating information and following up with re-sampling and re-testing.
  • Respond to requests for product release and demonstrate ability to work under pressure.
Requirements
  • Be computer literate and able to work efficiently in a laboratory environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to work under pressure and assess workload to ensure all testing is carried out in a timely manner.
