About the Role

Savills Management Resources is seeking a seasoned leader to spearhead the development of our national operations team. As the Head of Operations Excellence, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the function and practices of the team, driving consistency and best practice across all operational teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure that people, processes, and systems are continuously reviewed and updated to meet regulatory and service KPIs, adopting more efficient working practices.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure consistency in approach to operational and statutory compliance management across the Division.
  • Reporting and Process Development: Drive consistency and best practice across all operational teams by developing reporting and processes to monitor compliance in real-time.
  • Incident Management: Develop and manage a triage approach to incident management and implement a first-stage incident investigation process.
  • Representation: Represent the Hub at Safety+ board level.
  • Objective Setting: Set clear and defined facilities and HSE objectives, KPIs, and targets for continuous improvement in line with company and industry standards.
  • Training and Development: Oversee the development and delivery of training, ensuring it is up-to-date with legislation, guidance, and best practice.
  • Process Innovation: Identify new ways of working and new systems/technology to develop the service offering.
  • Specialist Advice: Provide specialist advice related to FM operations, services, systems, and process mobilization and operational delivery across the portfolio.
  • Legislative Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all relevant legislation and best practice.
  • Efficiency and Innovation: Identify and implement innovations and drive efficiencies through technology to stay ahead of competitors.
  • Culture Development: Develop a culture of trust within and outside the team, creating a culture of continuous improvement and formulating partnerships to influence policy and positive change.
People Leadership
  • Team Management: Line manage the senior operations team within the Ops & Compliance Hub, developing the team structure to reflect growth and development.
  • Objective Setting: Set clear objectives in line with company/Divisional/team strategy and measure performance against these.
  • Performance Management: Conduct regular 121s, hold team meetings, and complete thorough probationary and annual appraisals as per company guidelines.
  • Career Development: Support team members in career development via training, coaching, mentoring, and the promotion and succession/talent processes.
  • Recruitment: Ensure recruitment is completed professionally and in line with team/divisional/company goals, thinking strategically about future needs and diversity goals.
Requirements
  • Technical Experience: No less than 5 years of experience working at Senior Management level within the FM/Property Management sector.
  • Property Management Systems: In-depth knowledge of Property Management systems such as Source to Pay, compliance systems, CAFM, process mapping, etc.
  • Health and Safety: In-depth understanding of relevant health & safety legislation and possession of a relevant H&S qualification (IOSH/NEBOSH).
  • Industry Membership: Membership of recognized FM industry body (IWFM/RICS).

  • Systems and Processes: Interest in systems, processes, and people and how they interact to deliver operationally.
