About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Healthcare Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering our earwax removal service to the local community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greeting and Verifying Customers: You will be responsible for greeting customers, verifying their details, and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Clerical Duties: You will be responsible for managing appointment bookings, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Explaining the Earwax Removal Procedure: You will be responsible for explaining the earwax removal procedure to customers, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Removing Earwax: You will be responsible for removing earwax from customers' ears using specialist microsuction equipment, ensuring a safe and effective process.
  • Recording Medical Notes: You will be responsible for recording clear and accurate medical notes, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies.
  • Maintaining Quality of Service: You will be responsible for maintaining the quality of service delivery, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Working with Healthcare Professionals: You will be responsible for working with wider healthcare professionals, such as audiologists and GPs, to escalate queries and signpost customers to other healthcare services.
Requirements
  • Education: You will need to have five GCSEs or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous healthcare experience is not mandatory, but it would be beneficial.
  • Skills: You will need to have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with customers and other healthcare professionals. You will also need to be confident, empathetic, and approachable, with a passion for customer care and working in healthcare.
  • Training: You will need to be motivated to complete theoretical training and be comfortable using a smartphone.
