Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Theatre Nurse to join our team at the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. As a Theatre Nurse, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating theatre environment to ensure a safe and efficient working space.
  • Provide direct patient care, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, taking into account individual patient needs and preferences.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Proven experience in a theatre or surgical setting, with a strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations, with a strong focus on patient safety and well-being.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, as required.
