Palliative Care Role Overview
MARIE CURIE UK is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Rapid Response Service. As a Palliative Care Nurse, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and support to patients with terminal illnesses and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate and person-centered care to patients in their own homes, focusing on symptom management and pain relief.
- Participate in comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans that prioritize patient comfort and quality of life.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and support.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of community-based palliative care initiatives that promote patient choice and dignity.
Requirements
- RN Registration Level 1.
- Experience in palliative care, preferably in a community setting.
- Ability to work in a complex and dynamic environment, prioritizing patient needs and demonstrating effective coping mechanisms.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a car for travel purposes.
