About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our team at BMS Performance. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal operation and safety of our rail depot equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance on depot equipment, including electrical shutter doors, rail carriage wash plants, controlled emission toilet (CET) extraction systems, fluid and fuel storage/dispensing systems, and associated pumps, motors, valves, and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform regular checks on mechanical and electrical systems, including pumps, motors, valves, and control panels, to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
  • Adhere to scheduled maintenance tasks as per manufacturer recommendations and company protocols to minimize downtime and maximize equipment life.
Requirements
  • Recognized engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in maintaining and repairing industrial equipment, ideally in a rail depot, manufacturing, or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including motors, pumps, and control systems.
