About the Role

As a Specialist Physiotherapist - Orthopaedics, you will be part of a dedicated team at Salutem Care and Education, supporting students with neuro-motor impairments. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping us provide a bespoke curriculum and ensuring our students have access to the whole curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the assessment and implementation of seating solutions to enable pupils to access the curriculum.
  • Take a key role in the assessment and planning of access routes to technology, including switching and other assistive devices.
  • Support in the assessing and planning of access routes to technology, ensuring pupils can fully participate in educational activities.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement strategies to support pupils with neurological impairments.
  • Contribute to Reviews and other relevant meetings, ensuring the needs of our students are met.
  • Liaise with parents/guardians and external medical services as necessary, to ensure a comprehensive support network for our students.

Requirements

  • Experience and/or knowledge in postural management and specialist equipment, orthotics, orthopaedic surgery, tone management, and therapeutic handling.
  • Ability to work with children or young people with neurological impairments.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Enhanced Disclosure check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) required.
