About the Role:
The Children's Society is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Financial Accounting and Systems to join our Finance team and CEO office. This is a key leadership role that will play a critical part in ensuring the integrity of our accounting records and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of statutory accounts and year-end audits, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement effective financial controls and processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our financial reporting.
- Manage and develop a team of financial professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure strong performance and consistent results.
- Build and maintain key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, audit committees, and regulatory bodies.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of our finance systems, ensuring they are operating effectively and efficiently.
