Job Summary:
The Senior Pricing Actuary will play a critical role in the Casualty Treaty division team, working closely with underwriters to enhance Ki's commercial and strategic approach. The successful candidate will be responsible for deal-level pricing for material and complex risks, managing and maintaining deal-level pricing models, and developing best-in-class pricing models. The role will also involve model validation and recalibration, as well as creating appropriate governance and documentation of the models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out deal-level pricing for material and complex risks, or facility deals providing challenge and direction.
- Manage, maintain and develop the deal-level pricing models, including documentation and relevant regulatory reporting and communication.
- Build a best-in-class pricing model, carry out model validation and recalibration, and create appropriate governance and documentation of the models.
- Report directly to the Head of Corporate and Pricing within the Actuarial team, supporting them in setting and managing the pricing policy, including relevant thresholds and risks.
- Work with wider Ki stakeholders, including the algorithmic pricing team, to embed deal-level pricing output into the algorithm and create a joined-up approach to algorithmic pricing and risk selection.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be a commercially-minded pricing actuary with a strong background in actuarial science and a passion for developing innovative solutions. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with underwriters, stakeholders, and other team members. A strong understanding of the insurance industry and its trends is essential, as is the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective pricing models.
