Responsibilities of the General Practitioner:

  • Uphold the highest clinical standards and practices in line with established medical guidelines and service expectations.
  • Foster the health and well-being of all clinical staff by encouraging efficient working practices and behaviors.
  • Stay informed about advancements in medical science and practices, aligning with national and local directives while supporting colleagues in doing the same.
  • Advocate for the implementation of standards, protocols, and ethical guidelines as set forth by relevant medical councils and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to all practitioners caring for patients within the healthcare facility.
  • Exhibit creativity in the formulation of practice strategies and policies.
  • Ensure proper supervision and mentorship for salaried General Practitioners within the service.
  • Maintain effective communication channels with practice staff, patients, local stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.

Essential Qualifications

  • Full GMC Registration, MBChB or equivalent.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • MRCGP qualification.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Familiarity with the NHS framework.
  • Understanding of evidence-based practice and clinical effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of Clinical Governance and quality assurance.
  • Proficient in creating clear and concise medical documentation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
