Job Title: Aerospace Component Repair Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Operator with expertise in manual grinding to join our team at StandardAero. As a crucial member of our team, you will play a vital role in the process of repairing and servicing aerospace components.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate and oversee manual grinding machines to repair and overhaul aerospace components.
  • Perform precise grinding operations to achieve specific dimensional requirements.
  • Expertly handle various tools and equipment related to manual grinding, similar to those used by a toolmaker.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and other specifications.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure the accuracy and quality of the finished product.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other team members to ensure efficient operations and timely completion of tasks.
  • Provide suggestions for improving processes and optimizing workflow.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Machine Operator, specifically skilled in manual grinding operations.
  • Proficient in operating and maintaining manual grinding machines or similar equipment.
  • Knowledge of grinding techniques, tools, and measurements, similar to that of a toolmaker.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.
