About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Siamo Recruitment. As a Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our energy waste facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks to ensure the facility operates efficiently and safely.
  • Monitor and control plant systems, including the main boiler, turbine, and FGT plant.
  • Perform routine plant tests and inspections, collecting and recording data.
  • Report any non-conformances and resolve issues to ensure reliable operation of the plant.
  • Assist in implementing emergency procedures and instructions in dynamic situations.
  • Operate the plant from a computer-based central control room in accordance with design criteria and facility consents.
  • Analyze process performance and collaborate data while logging all operational activity.
  • Monitor stocks of consumables and residues to ensure correct system operation and safeguard operational continuity.
  • Undertake continuing personal development to enhance knowledge and skills relevant to the role.
  • Communicate effectively with the Maintenance and Operations teams.
Requirements
  • Operational experience in the power generation sector, including Energy from Waste, CCGT, Oil, Coal, or Biomass.
  • Exposure to working in demanding and dynamic environments, with a proven ability to work logically and remain calm.
  • Knowledge of all relevant facility consents, H&S legislation, safe working environments, and safety rules.
